“Topic 2.1.1 (RIA) Low cost, lean solutions for enhancing irrigation efficiency of small-scale farms”
iWaterMed (Intelligent Water Management for Mediterranean Small-scale Farms) aims to develop a novel AI governed efficient irrigation system for smallholder farmers with advanced technology aiming at low-cost lean end-product and optimizing natural resources use, while increasing yield, crop quality, and income of smallholder farmers. The low cost iWaterMed novelties include machine learning (ML) models for optimization and to decrease sensor costs via accurate predictions, and a further irrigation optimization algorithm integrated to a user-friendly farmer decision support system (DSS) to support and guide the smallholder farmer with innovative smallholder farmer irrigation
