The 1st face-to-face (F2F) consortium meeting of “Co-Creating Sustainable Agriculture: Upscaling Crop Rotation and Biodiversity at Farm Level through Living Labs and Digital Technologies – CropRotaM”, supported by the PRIMA Programme and funded under the TÜBİTAK 1071 programme (Project No. 126N045), was held in Ankara on 22-23 July 2026.
Coordinated by AR&TeCS, the meeting brought together 11 partners from 6 countries to review progress across the project. Over the two-day meeting, participants covered general project updates, work package (WP) activities together with the relevant specific objectives and KPIs, Living Lab demo/pilot site activities, and the critical milestones, deliverables and risks for the first term.
Ongoing and planned Living Lab activities in Italy, Turkey, Spain, Germany and Tunisia were presented by the relevant partners (UNIBAS, AR&TeCS-SFWRCRI, CEBAS, UHOH, CBBC), and a shared roadmap was agreed on field data-collection templates, sensor use and sampling methods.
The official Consortium Launch took place on the evening of the first day. The first General Assembly session was held on 23 July 2026, where key decisions on consortium governance were made. Participants were also given a tour showcasing Ankara’s historical and cultural heritage.
The next face-to-face meeting is planned to take place in Italy, hosted by UNIBAS, with the third and fourth meetings expected to be held in Greece and Spain, respectively.
CropRotaM aims to upscale sustainable agroecological practices across Mediterranean and European farming systems through the Living Lab approach, crop diversification, innovative bio-inputs and digital technologies.
