Under the coordination of AR&TeCS, TUBITAK – Qatar National Research Fund Joint Funding Program – Academia – Industry Cooperation on Smart Manufacturing Topic Proposal is submitted in May 2019 with 6 partners from Turkey and Qatar. Participating partners are: AR&TeCS (Coordinator), Atilim University Computer Engineering Department, Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture, BEWELL TECHNOLOGY;  Qatar University Dept. of Biological and Environmental Sciences, and Gheras Trading & Agricultural Services (Qatar).


A mobile robotic system and an integrated Decision Support System for reliable monitoring and managing the bunch tomato production in greenhouses by eliminating  human error will be developed in the scope of this project. The project aims to increase food security of Qatar and Turkey by employing information and communication technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT) in greenhouse bunch tomato production and encourage high-tech agricultural research activities in Qatar and Turkey climates.
